Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation, the IMAA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.

We pay our respect to their leaders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Welcome…
On behalf of our members, the Independent Media Agencies Australia (IMAA) welcomes you onto our Reconciliation journey, which begins with our commitment to making a difference in the media industry by educating our members on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.

Our goal is to work within our independent sector and as an advocate for Reconciliation into the broader advertising and marketing sector.

We acknowledge that within our position to influence and lead our sector, we have a responsibility to better our organisation and the growing list of media agencies we champion for and represent.

The first step in this journey is the creation of REFLECT RAP.

The IMAA RAP focuses on three key themes:

Influence - IMAA Charter

The Agencies represented have formally endorsed the IMAA’s commitment to reconciliation through the IMAA Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). They are equally committed to delivering and championing the following actions outlined in the IMAA REFLECT RAP by signing the IMAA Charter. If you would like to join our charter, please email info@theimaa.com.au

On the Ground Support - Kings Narrative Charity Sponsorship

Kings Narrative aims to change the discourse surrounding Aboriginal men and provide much-needed support. As our chosen community project, it is an honour to share their story and is made possible due to the Imparja ‘Make a Difference’ Program.
As part of our commitment to making a tangible difference to our First Nations Peoples and communities, Ten per cent (10%) of advertising dollars spent by IMAA Agencies on the Imparja Network will be contributed towards a community project.
